How we work

Bridgewater Leadership Advisory regards all its client relationships as partnerships. We work closely with the nominated client executives on each assignment to ensure that our services are clearly documented and the processes agreed in advance. At every step communication is key. The basis of any successful assignment lies in the quality and depth of the initial briefing with the client, the context and background of the requirement and the objectives to be realised.

The main focus of a recruitment assignment is on the particular requirements of the position sought, the essential qualifications and a summary of the ideal candidate profile. This stems from a detailed discussion and briefing based on what the client needs. Questions such as what kind of people succeed here? are asked. Bridgewater Leadership Advisory acts as ambassador for its clients and in discussing the role with potential candidates ensures it is in the best possible position to issue a comprehensive prospectus with conviction, as well as being able to evaluate the suitability of candidates and, critically, their motivation and interest.

Recruitment methodology must match the task. The correct online media must be chosen for roles that are to be advertised and the merits of a print version considered. The client and the role must be presented in the best possible way. Tools for evaluating and assessing candidates must be agreed in advance. Critically, the levels of due diligence demanded by the assignment, in terms of references and other background checks, must be agreed.

However, robust processes are not enough. The client and preferred finalist candidate must be brought to the table with the preparation necessary to ensure the best possible chance for them to reach final agreement.
